What is OpenRate98?

OpenRate98 is a lead generation and outreach management platform for finding local business leads, collecting useful contact details, verifying WhatsApp availability, and tracking follow-ups from one dashboard.

You can create campaigns by niche and location, collect business phone numbers and related details, check which numbers are available on WhatsApp, and manage communication using built-in CRM notes.

Who is this platform for?

OpenRate98 is built for business owners, agencies, marketers, sales teams, consultants, and freelancers who want to reach local businesses through phone and WhatsApp-based outreach.

It works especially well for local niches like roofing, HVAC, dentists, restaurants, salons, real estate, cleaning companies, law firms, and marketing agencies.

Do I need technical skills to use it?

No. Choose a niche, select target locations, set the number of leads you want, and create a campaign. OpenRate98 organizes the results into a lead table where you can review, verify, export, and manage follow-ups.

How do I create my first campaign?

Enter a campaign name, choose a keyword or niche, select your target locations, set the number of leads you want, and click Create Campaign.

Once created, the campaign appears in your dashboard. You can open it, run batches, review collected leads, verify WhatsApp availability, and manage outreach from the campaign table.

Lead Credits

What are lead credits?

Lead credits are the number of business phone-number leads your account can collect during your billing period or from purchased top-ups.

For example, if your plan includes 1,000 leads per month, you can collect up to 1,000 business phone-number leads during that monthly period.

Do lead credits mean confirmed WhatsApp numbers?

No. Lead credits include collected business phone numbers. WhatsApp availability is verified after collection.

Some numbers may be available on WhatsApp, and some may not. The confirmed WhatsApp percentage can vary by niche, country, city, business type, and public data quality.

Why are credits based on phone numbers instead of confirmed WhatsApp numbers?

OpenRate98 first collects business phone numbers from available business data. WhatsApp availability can only be checked after a phone number is collected.

Because of that, credits are counted when business phone-number leads are collected, not when they are confirmed as WhatsApp-ready.

What percentage of leads will have WhatsApp?

The WhatsApp-ready percentage can vary. In many markets, it may range roughly from 10% to 40%, but this is not guaranteed.

The actual rate depends on the business niche, country, city, whether businesses use WhatsApp for customer communication, and whether the collected phone number is connected to a WhatsApp account.

What happens when I use all my monthly credits?

When your monthly credits are used, you can wait until your next billing period, upgrade to a higher plan, or buy additional lead top-ups if available.

For larger lead volume, contact support for a custom plan.

Do unused monthly credits roll over?

By default, monthly lead credits are meant for the active billing period and reset at the start of the next billing cycle.

Recommended policy: unused monthly credits do not roll over. Your plan renews with a fresh monthly credit balance at the start of each billing cycle.
Can I buy extra leads without upgrading my plan?

Yes. If your monthly credits are used, you can purchase additional lead top-ups such as 1,000, 2,000, or 3,000 extra leads, depending on the available options in your account.

WhatsApp Verification

How does WhatsApp verification work?

After leads are collected, you can verify whether a phone number is available on WhatsApp. OpenRate98 helps you open each number through the WhatsApp workflow, then you can mark the lead as confirmed or rejected.

Does OpenRate98 automatically send WhatsApp messages?

No. OpenRate98 helps you verify WhatsApp availability and manage outreach, but it does not automatically send WhatsApp messages on your behalf.

This keeps the workflow safer and gives you more control over message quality, compliance, and follow-up.

Does a confirmed WhatsApp number guarantee a reply?

No. A confirmed WhatsApp number only means the number appears to be available on WhatsApp. It does not guarantee that the business owner or staff will reply, become interested, or purchase anything.

Can I see my WhatsApp success rate?

Yes. Campaigns can show confirmed and rejected counts, along with the WhatsApp lead rate. This helps you understand which niches and locations produce better WhatsApp availability.

What if I accidentally mark a lead as rejected or confirmed?

You can review the campaign table and update the lead status. OpenRate98 keeps campaign records visible so mistakes are easier to correct.

Campaigns

What is a campaign?

A campaign is a saved lead search based on a niche and one or more locations. Examples include Roofers - Texas, Dentists - California, or Restaurants - Dhaka.

Can I create multiple campaigns?

Yes. You can create separate campaigns for different niches, locations, clients, or outreach strategies.

Why does a campaign run in batches?

Campaigns may run in batches to keep the system stable, avoid long loading times, and make larger campaigns easier to process.

Can I filter leads by city or status?

Yes. The lead table supports filtering by city and lead status, making it easier to focus on a specific market or outreach stage.

Can I control how many leads show on the table?

Yes. The campaign table supports pagination, so you can choose how many leads appear per page instead of scrolling through one very long table.

Can I delete a campaign?

Yes. You can delete a campaign when you no longer need it. Deleting a campaign may also remove its associated leads, so export or back up important data before deleting.

Data Fields

What information can I collect about a business?

Depending on your plan and available data, a lead may include business name, phone number, website, map link, rating, total ratings, city, address, email addresses, WhatsApp status, CRM notes, contact status, priority, next follow-up date, and tags.

Are email addresses included?

OpenRate98 may collect publicly available email addresses from business websites when they can be found. Email discovery depends on whether the business website publicly displays valid email addresses.

Why do some leads not have websites or emails?

Not every business has a public website, and not every website displays an email address. Some businesses may only show a phone number, map listing, or contact form.

Can OpenRate98 collect business owner emails specifically?

OpenRate98 can collect publicly available email addresses from business websites, but it cannot guarantee that an email belongs directly to the business owner.

Can I export emails with my leads?

Yes. If emails are found and added to the lead table, they can be included in campaign exports.

CRM & Follow-Up

What CRM features are included?

OpenRate98 includes lightweight CRM tools for managing outreach. You can add notes, contact status, priority, tags, last contacted date, next follow-up date, and follow-up message sequences for each lead.

Can I track who I contacted?

Yes. You can update statuses such as Not Contacted, First Message Sent, Waiting Reply, Interested, Follow-up Needed, Closed Won, Closed Lost, or Do Not Contact.

Can I schedule follow-ups?

Yes. You can add next follow-up dates to leads so you know who needs attention later.

Can I store follow-up message templates?

Yes. The CRM popup allows you to store a sequence of follow-up messages so you can keep outreach consistent.

CSV Import & Export

Can I import my existing contacts?

Yes. You can import an existing CSV into a campaign using the Import Existing CSV section.

Accepted columns include Business Name or Name, Phone, Website, Address, City, Email, Contact Status, Priority, Next Follow-up, and Tags.

Are CSV imports limited by my plan?

Yes. CSV imports follow the same lead-credit limits as campaign-generated leads.

What happens if my CSV has more leads than my available credits?

OpenRate98 should import only the number of leads allowed by your remaining credits. If the file contains more leads than your available balance, you may need to upgrade or buy additional credits to import the rest.

Does OpenRate98 check duplicates during import?

Yes. OpenRate98 can check for duplicate leads across campaigns so you do not waste credits or accidentally contact the same business multiple times.

Can I export my campaign data?

Yes. You can export all campaign leads or only confirmed WhatsApp leads.

Plans & Billing

What plans are available?

Can I start for free?

Yes. The free plan allows limited usage so you can test OpenRate98 before upgrading.

How do I upgrade my plan?

Go to the Subscription page, choose a plan, and complete payment through Stripe checkout. After payment succeeds, your account should update automatically.

Can I downgrade or cancel?

Subscription changes are handled through the billing flow. If billing portal access is enabled, you can manage your plan from the Subscription page. Otherwise, contact support.

Can I request a custom plan?

Yes. If you need custom lead volume, agency usage, or a larger monthly plan, contact support. Custom plans can be arranged based on volume, usage needs, and billing agreement.

Referrals

Can I earn extra leads by referring others?

Yes. Use the Earn Leads page to share your referral link. When a referred user purchases a qualifying plan, you may receive bonus lead credits.

How many leads can I earn from referrals?
  • Starter purchase: 50 bonus leads
  • Growth purchase: 250 bonus leads
  • Agency purchase: 1,000 bonus leads
When are referral leads credited?

Referral rewards are usually credited after the referred user successfully purchases a qualifying plan and the referral is verified.

Account Security

Can I change my password?

Yes. You can change your password from the Account Security page.

Can I change my email address?

Yes. You can update your login email from the Account Security page.

Is two-factor authentication available?

Yes. Two-factor authentication can be enabled through Wordfence Login Security when the site admin enables 2FA management for leads users.

Why do I see a Wordfence 2FA setup message?

The admin may need to enable Wordfence Login Security, allow the OpenRate98 leads-user role to use 2FA, and turn on the 2FA Management Shortcode setting.

Compliance & Outreach

Is OpenRate98 affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta?

No. OpenRate98 is not affiliated with WhatsApp, Meta, Google, or any third-party platform mentioned.

Can I send bulk WhatsApp messages with OpenRate98?

No. OpenRate98 is designed for lead collection, WhatsApp availability verification, CRM tracking, and manual outreach management. It does not send automated bulk WhatsApp messages.

Am I responsible for outreach compliance?

Yes. Users are responsible for following applicable privacy, anti-spam, telemarketing, messaging, and data protection laws in their country or market.

What should I say when contacting businesses?

Use short, relevant, respectful messages. Avoid spammy language, misleading claims, or repeated unwanted messages. A good first message clearly explains who you are, why you are contacting them, and how your offer may help.

Troubleshooting

Why is my campaign loading slowly?

Large campaigns, many locations, or high lead targets may take longer to process. OpenRate98 uses batching, pagination, and queue processing to reduce loading issues.

Why did my campaign collect fewer leads than expected?

Lead availability depends on the niche, location, public data coverage, duplicate filtering, plan limits, and available phone-number data.

Why are some emails invalid or strange-looking?

Some websites contain technical strings, placeholder emails, image filenames, or tracking addresses that can look like emails. OpenRate98 filters many of these patterns, but email discovery depends on public website content and may not always be perfect.

Who should I contact if something is not working?
